After we pick you up from the airport and transfer you to the hotel, you can choose to take an optional tour of Arusha city. During this quick city tour, you will learn about Tanzania, preparing you for your journey the following day. You will receive a briefing on the remaining tour activities in the evening. Then, you can prepare for the coming trip the next day.
Accommodation
Kibo Palace Hotel
At 8:00am, we will pick you up from your hotel, introduce you to our guide, and then drive to Tarangire National Park for the next two hours. Tarangire is home to the greatest concentration of elephants in the country and is renowned for its profusion of old baobab trees! You will have up-close encounters with these enormous animals and get to see how different elephant families interact. During the game drive, we will follow reports of animal sightings. Herbivores abound, including zebras, wildebeest, and giraffes. The more elusive predators are the lions, cheetahs, and leopards. Later, we will have lunch at the river picnic area and take in the lovely river view and wildlife. Watch out for baby baboons and monkeys that may try to frighten you.
Accommodation
Farm of Dreams lodge
After breakfast, we will travel through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area on a six-hour drive to the Serengeti. We will briefly stop at the gate to admire the magnificent crater for about twenty minutes. In the late afternoon, we will reach Seronera, the central part of the Serengeti, where we will have a picnic lunch and then embark on a game drive. Later in the evening, we will continue the game drive to witness the Serengeti sunset and observe the natural wildlife up close, hoping to witness a predator hunt.
Finally, we will head to our lodging for the night and have dinner.
Accommodation
Heritage Tented camp
Today, we will follow the migration of the wildebeest and explore the expansive areas of the Serengeti. Our route will take us northwest.
We will start the day with an early morning game drive and have a packed picnic lunch after breakfast. The main highlight of the game drive will be the Mara River, where you might spot herds of migratory animals crossing the river. We will continue the game drive until evening and then return to the camp for dinner and the night. There will be animals visible at the camp.
Accommodation
Heritage Migration camp
After an early breakfast, we will depart for the game drive. Today, we will have the opportunity to witness the wildebeest gathering and preparation to cross the Mara River. Hopefully, the migration will begin! After lunch, we will continue on the game drive until dusk. Finally, we will return to the camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

After enjoying a leisurely breakfast and an early lunch, we will head to Ngorongoro. Our experienced and well-trained driver will share his knowledge about the local wildlife and Tanzania's scenic beauty as we travel through the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro Crater. We plan to spend the night on the crater's edge, where you will have dinner and stay at your lodging.
Accommodation
Ngorongoro Marera Mountain View Lodge
The breathtaking sunrise views over the crater's edge are a rewarding sight for early risers. After a hearty breakfast, you will drive down the adventurous track into the crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the Seven Wonders of Africa and boasts one of the most incredible ecosystems on Earth. It was formed millions of years ago during a massive volcano explosion. The crater is 610m (2,000ft) deep and covers roughly 260km² (100mi²). Due to its dense animal population of approximately 25,000, the crater offers the best game viewing of all the parks in Tanzania! In just a matter of minutes, you will see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and some of the more than 500 bird species in the area. With a bit of luck, you might catch a glimpse of the endangered black rhino through the grass. After the game drives in Ngorongoro Crater, you will drive back to Arusha for dinner and overnight.
