Effective Date: 1 July 2026
Last Updated: 1 July 2026
Version: 1.0
1. Introduction
These Traveller Booking Terms apply to all visitors who enquire about or book safari services through SafariCalc.
By submitting an enquiry, requesting a quotation or confirming a booking through SafariCalc, you agree to these Terms.
2. Marketplace Role
SafariCalc is an online technology platform connecting travellers with independent safari operators.
SafariCalc is not a tour operator, travel agency, accommodation provider, airline or transport company.
All safari services displayed on SafariCalc are offered by independent operators.
3. Booking Contract
When you book a safari, your contract is made directly with the safari operator.
SafariCalc is not a party to that contract and accepts no responsibility for the operator's performance.
4. Enquiries
Submitting an enquiry through SafariCalc does not constitute a confirmed booking.
Your enquiry is forwarded directly to the selected operator, who is responsible for responding, confirming availability and providing final pricing.
5. Prices
Prices displayed on SafariCalc are provided by independent operators.
Prices may change without notice due to exchange rate fluctuations, government taxes, park fees, accommodation availability, airline costs or other operational factors.
Final pricing is confirmed only by the operator.
6. Payments
Unless otherwise stated, all payments are made directly to the safari operator.
SafariCalc does not currently collect or hold traveller payments.
If SafariCalc introduces payment processing in the future, additional payment terms may apply.
7. Cancellations
Each safari operator establishes its own cancellation policy.
Travellers should carefully review cancellation conditions before confirming a booking.
SafariCalc is not responsible for cancellation fees imposed by operators.
8. Refunds
Refund decisions are made solely by the safari operator in accordance with their booking conditions.
SafariCalc does not guarantee refunds for cancelled bookings.
9. Travel Documents
Travellers are responsible for obtaining:
- valid passports;
- required visas;
- vaccination certificates;
- health documentation;
- any permits required for travel.
10. Travel Insurance
SafariCalc strongly recommends that every traveller purchases comprehensive travel insurance before travelling.
Insurance should include medical expenses, emergency evacuation, trip cancellation, baggage loss and personal liability.
11. Wildlife
Safari experiences involve wild animals living in their natural environment.
Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed.
SafariCalc and safari operators cannot guarantee sightings of specific animals or migration events.
12. Health and Safety
Travellers must follow all safety instructions provided by guides, lodges, park authorities and safari operators.
Failure to follow safety instructions may result in removal from activities without refund.
13. Limitation of Liability
SafariCalc shall not be liable for:
- operator performance;
- booking disputes;
- injury;
- property loss;
- flight delays;
- weather conditions;
- wildlife behaviour;
- government restrictions;
- visa refusals;
- travel interruptions;
- force majeure events.
14. Complaints
Complaints relating to safari services should first be addressed directly with the safari operator.
SafariCalc may assist in communication where appropriate but is not responsible for resolving contractual disputes between travellers and operators.
15. Force Majeure
Neither SafariCalc nor the operator shall be liable for delays or failure caused by events beyond reasonable control including natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, civil unrest, strikes, government restrictions or similar events.
16. Changes
SafariCalc may update these Traveller Booking Terms from time to time.
The latest version will always be published on this page.
