Safari Itinerary

Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Nairobi. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to relax after your journey or explore some of Nairobi's attractions. Your guide will provide a safari briefing and answer any questions about your upcoming adventure.

After breakfast, depart Nairobi and journey through the scenic Great Rift Valley toward the legendary Maasai Mara National Reserve. Along the way, enjoy spectacular views of rolling hills, traditional villages, and the vast African countryside. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch before heading out on your first game drive.

The Maasai Mara is home to abundant wildlife including lions, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, and cheetahs. During migration season, thousands of wildebeest and zebras can be seen moving across the plains in search of fresh grazing grounds.

Spend a full day exploring the magnificent Maasai Mara. Early-morning and afternoon game drives offer excellent opportunities to see predators in action and observe wildlife at their most active. Your guide will take you to some of the reserve's most productive wildlife areas while sharing fascinating insights into animal behavior and the ecosystem.

During the migration season, large herds of wildebeest and zebras dominate the landscape, while lions, hyenas, leopards, and cheetahs closely follow. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed in the bush, allowing you to make the most of your time in the reserve.

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your scheduled bush flight to Northern Serengeti. This scenic flight offers spectacular aerial views of East Africa's wildlife-rich landscapes.

Upon arrival, begin your game drive in one of the most exciting regions of the Serengeti ecosystem. Northern Serengeti is renowned for its dramatic Mara River crossings, where thousands of wildebeest and zebras brave crocodile-infested waters while predators wait nearby.

Enjoy an afternoon game drive before settling into your camp surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Accommodation

Intimate Camp Zebra

Today is dedicated to exploring Northern Serengeti and following the movements of the Great Migration. Your guide will search for active river crossing points and position you in the best areas for wildlife viewing.

Besides the migration herds, Northern Serengeti supports healthy populations of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and cheetahs. The beautiful rolling hills and remote wilderness create an authentic safari atmosphere unlike anywhere else in Africa.

After breakfast, enjoy a game drive as you travel south through the endless plains of Serengeti National Park toward the famous Seronera region.

This journey itself is a safari, with opportunities to encounter wildlife throughout the day. The Central Serengeti is known for its permanent water sources, which attract large concentrations of wildlife year-round. Lions lounging on kopjes, leopards resting in acacia trees, and cheetahs scanning the plains are common sightings.

Begin the day with an early morning game drive in Central Serengeti when wildlife is most active. This is one of the best times to witness predators hunting and enjoy the golden African sunrise.

After breakfast, continue exploring the Serengeti before departing for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the route, enjoy wildlife sightings and changing landscapes as the vast Serengeti plains gradually give way to the lush Ngorongoro Highlands.

Arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon and enjoy spectacular views overlooking the surrounding countryside.

Accommodation

Hhando Coffee Lodge

After an early breakfast, descend 600 meters into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa's greatest natural wonders and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The crater floor is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, and the rare black rhino. The enclosed ecosystem creates one of the best wildlife viewing experiences in Africa.

After a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, continue your exploration before ascending the crater walls in the late afternoon.

Following breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem famous for its giant baobab trees and impressive elephant population.

Tarangire offers a different safari experience from Serengeti and Ngorongoro, with diverse habitats supporting elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, lions, leopards, and over 500 bird species. The Tarangire River acts as a lifeline for wildlife, especially during the dry season.

Enjoy extensive game viewing before driving to Arusha for your overnight stay.
